Crumbs on 2018

It has been a millennium since I have punched the blog.
I'm just given a chance to be this sentimental digitally.
(to make this entry easy for me, I 'lowkey' gathered random notes from my phone's notepad which is full of random thoughts and ideas and tried to create a point and make myself feel productive)

Let me tell you things.

While Christmas is a couple of weeks from now, I am drowning myself with the thought of not yet feeling it, just as everybody does.

Remember how I said that the world might give me this 'goalful' career and cultivate this Twenty friggin eighteen with bombastic adulthood greatness

Spoiler alert: It didn't.

Let me tell you why.
Have you seen my box that supposedly should be filled with my savings? There's no single peso in there.

Unconsciously, I built a routine that if I've gone missing in a mall and you know me in this era, you'll definitely know where to find me - in groceries and stores with tantalizing new food products.

My tummy has never been this bulgy. Not to mention my cheeks. It's obvious where the pesos went.

Looking at my social media networks, nothing might be significant for the world. Mostly music and memes not suitable for my professional life. Honestly certain that if time is a currency; FB, Insta, Twitter and every searchable stuff in the internet is now swimming in Time Dollar sort of thing.

Work? How about my work? Well. It's work.

But oh. This is not a sad and dramatic year story.
Let me tell you why. Because....

I took risk and applied for an insurance. Now I have two accounts in sync with the market growth.
Bought a machine to kick start my potential business. It helps rapid prototyping.
Familiarized myself with flavors and experiences to plan for development and creativity.
Had a time to evaluate life through podcasts.
Jumpstarted a physical wellness routine.
Spearheaded numerous church events.
Taught meanings which made people feel better.
Became a leader.
Resolved gargantuan issues in work and life.
Flied too many times that I finally mastered the art of airports.
Snapped a lot, enough to cover the memories and arts worth cherishing.
Talked to the public many times, enhanced my interpersonal skills and learned so much from it.
Became certified in my baking skill.
Sang confidently.
Ziplined first time.
Became friends with workers in different hierarchy.
Involved in many parties.
Found comrades with same sentiments.
Acknowledged superiors.
Supported life decisions.
Assigned to lead and pray publicly more than I expect.
Won a team presentation.

(many more)
...

You know, I realized that the main framework of doing the New Year's Resolution thingy is the revitalizing of the mind. In fact, if you could just remove the concept of naming and numbering of the day, month, year or so, it's just a line - a continuous time. A dimension which sticks and correlates to our actions and inaction. We're celebrating the span of a timeline to make a mark and name it to highlight the events that happened (all the good and the bad) accompanied with fireworks, food, drinks and karaoke or whatever. It sends us a sensation of leveling up. Like a game with many stages and checkpoints and learn so much from it intentionally or not.

Thankfully, someone very close to us asked this (non-verbatim):

"What is that one thing about yourself that if you could change / improve or tweak, will give a great impact to your career success?"

We talked about it in our group while on a road trip and somehow gave me a great vision. I even shared this to workmates and were glad about it.

With this in mind, and of course your answer, 2019 might be a great year. What a nice use of our human tradition to feel "new" every time 11:59pm turns 12:00am on that particular timeline!
